How it works
From suction to discharge, in three steps.
The liquid enters through the suction port, in the centre of the pump casing, and meets the impeller. The impeller turns with the electric motor shaft at about 2900 rpm (3500 at 60 Hz) and centrifugal force throws the liquid towards its outer edge.
There the casing collects the liquid and turns its velocity into pressure: the liquid leaves through the discharge port, which points upwards.
Flow and head depend on the impeller and on the speed. That is why the pump is chosen on the H–Q curve: you tell us the flow and head you need and we pick, among 57 configurations, the one that works best at your duty point.
Design and materials
What is inside an FZ-CP.
Open impeller
The vanes have no front shroud: the passages stay wide, liquids with fine solid particles go through without clogging, and impeller and casing are easy to clean and inspect.
4.5 bar maximum discharge pressure
At 50 Hz, with the largest models at zero flow: with water that is about 45 m of head. Each model has its own, in the “Performance by model” table.
EPDM gaskets
An elastomer widely used in the food industry: it stands up well to hot water and to CIP cleaning detergents.
AISI 316L wetted parts
Every part in contact with the product is AISI 316L with a polished finish; the motor shroud is AISI 316.
Mechanical seal to suit
We choose it for your fluid and its operating temperature. If the seal needs continuous flushing or cooling, there is the flushed version, FZ-CP FLUX.
IP55 or IP69-K motor
Three-phase 400 V motor, 50 or 60 Hz, IP55 as standard. For areas washed down at high pressure there is the FZ-CP IP69-K.

Are the FZ-CP pumps available at 60 Hz?
Yes. The whole FZ-CP range is tested and curved at both 50 Hz (2900 rpm) and 60 Hz (3500 rpm) — you will find both in the performance-curve tool, under the "50 vs 60 Hz" tab.
Which materials are in contact with the product?
AISI 316L on every product-contact part, with a polished finish for hygiene. The motor housing is AISI 316. Gaskets are EPDM.
Which mechanical seal do you fit?
The mechanical seal is selected to suit your fluid and its operating temperature — it is not a fixed choice, we define it together with you.
Which impeller does it use?
